The First Three Sins, The Summary
The Fourth Sin, Overall Discussion
When the listener hits that play button, they are immediately met with the explosive intensity of the first two tracks, Night Hunter and Lightning Strike. Both songs unleash a torrent of unyielding energy, offering pure, unadulterated heavy metal without any fluff—just sheer power. It pulls the listener deep into a shadowy world filled with personal themes.
Wicked Leather delves into dark, personal themes. On the track Night Hunter, Yami draws from her experience surviving a toxic relationship with a narcissist, vividly capturing the emotional scars left in its wake. Lightning Strike, explores themes of loss and the obsession with resurrection, spiralling into chaos as the story unfolds. Despite these brooding narratives, the band’s sound remains untamed, taking you off the rails and galloping through a sea of madness with relentless momentum.
With just two tracks clocking in at over eight minutes, Wicked Leather immerses listeners in a soundscape that is dark, gritty, heavy, and undeniably powerful, infused with classic heavy metal elements reimagined for a modern audience.
Wicked Leather showcases the listener’s ears and soul with a fruit of art composition within their music and instrumentals, which is all delivered by a tight and solid fruit of art devilmanship. Within this devilmanship, the guitar work unleashes aggressive riffs, haunting melodies, and intricate solos that magnetize the ear. Meanwhile, the drums lay down a formidable foundation, their precise and powerful beats driving the intensity of the music forward. Yami Martins’ vocals add another layer of depth, ranging from hauntingly melodic to fiercely raw, perfectly aligning with the band’s intense and shadowy sound. Additionally, the composition features an anthemic backing chorus reminiscent of Accept, enhancing the overall experience.
Throughout Wicked Leather, each track (again) showcases a fruit of art composition within their music and instrumentals, but at times there is a
diverse array of compositions within the arrangements, such as the final moments of Night Hunter, where the music shifts dramatically from a fierce and powerful intensity to a hauntingly melodic atmosphere. Yami‘s seems to extract the very life-force out of the song, culminating in a rapid-fire composition that leaves a lasting impression.
Wicked Leather and their two songs, plunges the listener’s soul in the essence of classic heavy metal, reminiscent of the legendary sound of Accept and few others to name. Echoes Of The Storm is a relentless barrage of energy and chaos, absent of any filler, delivering pure and unadulterated power that resonates deeply with fans of the genre.
As the double single comes to an end, and fades away into the sea of madness, we would to thank to Qabar PR for letting us review Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm. We will wrap it up by discussing the final three sins and concluding the review.
